Our Mission

At ChemBiologics, we believe scientific progress should never be limited by cost. Our mission is to democratize access to essential chemical building blocks for biological and biomedical research by providing high-quality materials quickly, reliably, and at cost.

We were founded on a simple belief that when more researchers have access to the tools they need, innovation accelerates, collaboration grows, and lives can be changed. Rather than prioritizing profits, we are committed to removing barriers that prevent scientists, laboratories, and institutions from pursuing breakthrough discoveries.

Every reagent we provide represents an opportunity: for a new diagnostic, a life-saving treatment, or a deeper understanding of human biology. The impact of science is always greater when knowledge and resources are shared openly across the research community.

At ChemBiologics, our success is measured not by what we gain individually, but by what we enable together. Because when researchers succeed, patients benefit, discoveries multiply, and humanity moves forward.

If you succeed, we all succeed.

Together, We Can Shape a Better Future for Humanity

Our Humble Beginning

We initially focused on peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) because of their significant scientific and translational potential, limited accessibility, and prohibitive cost. Originally developed by Peter Nielsen, Michael Egholm, Rolf Berg, and Ole Buchardt (Science 1991, 254, 1497), PNAs have emerged as highly attractive antisense and antigene reagents and molecular self-assembly tools due to their unique chemical and biophysical properties.

Subsequent contributions from numerous research groups—including Bruce Armitage (CMU), Daniel Appella (NIH), Oliver Seitz (Humboldt University of Berlin), Nicolas Winssinger (University of Geneva), K. N. Ganesh (IISER Pune), and Roberto Corradini (University of Parma)—have significantly expanded the utility and applications of PNAs. Additional important contributors can be found in the “PNA Publications” list.

Historically, these critical research tools were not only difficult to source but also prohibitively expensive, placing significant constraints on scientific progress. As a result, only a limited number of research groups worldwide—primarily those with specialized synthetic expertise and skillsets—were able to work extensively with this class of molecules.

At ChemBiologics, we aim to break down these barriers and expand access to PNAs by providing high-quality materials rapidly and at cost. Our goal is to empower more researchers by offering not only monomers, but also oligomers and custom-designed reagents to support advances in basic research, diagnostics, and therapeutics.

Additional research chemicals are currently under development and will be available soon!

Our Partners

We are grateful to our partner, Dr. Srinivas Nagarapu, Founder and Managing Director of Dr. NS Labs Pvt. Ltd., for believing in our mission and for working with us to enable the production and commercialization of many of these materials at cost.
