Right-Handed ySer-PNA-Monomers
When stitched together into oligomers, γ-serine PNAs adopt a right-handed helix and are capable of hybridizing to DNA or RNA with high affinity and sequence specificity, as well as invading double-stranded DNA or RNA—capabilities unattainable with other classes of nucleic acids.
